The Politics Home platform was designed to allow users to get all the latest Politics news in one place, and to allow the business to cross-sell extras; such as magazine subscriptions and a “Plus” service, which offered its members an opportunity to contribute to key policy debates.

Politics Home already had a base product that no longer worked for the business, so this was a major consideration when designing the new system. The major selling point of the site was that it could deliver political breaking news instantly.

To ensure the product was meeting all of the requirements. Taking into consideration the needs of the business and the end users was vital; we had to ensure that they were getting an enhanced experience in comparison to what they previous had, in tandem with meeting all of the new objectives of the website.
